Those portraits of the characters from Alien look awesome! I especially like the one of Ripley. The likeness is dead on.

The quickee Muppets characters look great too. I'd love to see more of what you do with those characters.

thanks, that's just a good way to loosen up, just study the lighting, coloring, shape and form from a reference photo.
Maybe, the rest of the muppet piece I'm referencing was important and I never did finish it.

I'll spend 3 hours just putting up one sketch like that. I so envy you.
And I'll rewatch Alien just before the release of Prometheus :)

hehe, yeah takes a while making these, a lot of the time it's a lot of scrap sketches I can squeeze in between, and often time I debate which ones are repeats, which ones I can mask, which ones I can resize, etc. I try to at least post up really worth wild sketches in there, concepts ideas that I like to share.
hehe, I'm not sure what to expect with Prometheus. My favorite scene in Alien is just this one shot of Ian Holm doing a runing in place before he fallows Tom Skerrit, John Hurt and Veronica Cartwright go out to the ship. It's a small shot where you just get this vague idea of tone and character. It's till 20 years later I go "Maybe it's because he's an android?" That's kinda what I want from Prometheus, not sure in a day where there is audio commentary and director's cut it might mimic something like that.
